On Friday evening, October 20, a Hathaway Carnival was held in the Sperryville school auditorium. In spite of rain, about 200 Hathaway Carnival members.

Sitting Friday, as an old lady, and Patsy Pratton as a wreck, won prizes for the best nominees. Charles Bauer and Bill Love sold lucky bombers and won homemade cakes. Ropes, a grabbing, hot dogs, older, coolies, and nasty were enjoyed while the little crowd operated about the floor.
