Rappahannock Garden Club Meeting
98.6%Mrs. H. C. Warwick was hostess to 20 members of the Rappahannock Garden club which met at "Stockholms" Wednesday, October 26.
91.2%Miss John E. Reverroach gave a report on a meeting attended when the Roadside Committee made plans to start some work in the vicinity of Sperryville in the near future.
96.1%These appointed to serve as chairman of the various districts in the county were Mrs. J. M. Battle for Flint Hill, Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr., for Washington, S. E. Hening for Sperryville, Mrs. C. R. Hite for F. T. Valley, and Mrs. W. R. Williamson for Woodville.
93.6%Miss Ethel Long, as program chairman for October, gave an instructive talk on the care of house plants.
98.4%The exhibits consisted of chrysanthemums and arrangements of specimens. Mrs. George Taylor received the first highest score as her arrangement; Mrs. George H. Davis, Jr., the second; and Mrs. J. G. Reverroach received third highest rating.
98.1%In the specimen arrangements Mrs. J. G. Reverroach received the highest score, with second and third places going to Mrs. E. V. Seagel, Mrs. J. P. Seagel, Jr., with first place in the bioanthemum exhibits with an arrangement of lavender lilars, and Mrs. E. V. Seagel received second with an exhibit of Japanese anemone.
